The long-awaited memorial, which first opened in 2020, was formally dedicated on Friday at the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) in Washington, D.C. to recognize the numerous contributions of Indigenous peoples to the U.S. military.
More information about the memorial and how you can visit is here.
“Why We Serve: Native Americans in the United States Armed Forces” is on online exhibition of the NMAI that explains more about Native contributions to the military.
